COVID-19 Efforts
What we will be doing on our part!
Studio Procedures:
In an effort to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and to protect our students as much as possible, Intempo Dance will be providing daily and weekly sanitizing services for the entire studio. In addition to the daily disinfecting, we will be finishing
3-5 minutes before class ends to make sure to clean and wipe down heavily used surfaces, wiping down ballet barres, wiping down door handles and well as cleaning the restrooms.
We will have sanitizing stations and hand sanitizers in each class room as well as throughout the studio. Students will be required to use these when entering and leaving the studio.
We will also be giving dancers breathing and water breaks throughout their classes.
The kitchen area, some lobby areas, and the dressing rooms will be available for minimal dancer use throughout the day.
Dancers will be asked to bring all dance necessities for each class into the studio to avoid leaving and entering the space frequently.
Bathrooms will be available, but not for changing clothes.
Daily Temperature Checks:
We will be checking everyone's temperature as they walk into the studio.
This includes dancers, teachers, staff, and family members.
Masks:
We highly encourage everyone to wear a mask at all times around the studio including the shared common lobby space and restrooms. Fully vaccinated students and family members may chose to wear a mask or not, but we encourage non- vaccinated students and family members to continue to wear your mask around the studio for the safety of yourself and others.
We will also be implementing social distancing and providing "Breathing Breaks" for students. Please bring clearly labeled water bottles.
This is the disclosure Fort Bend had on their website which we will follow:
"Parents/guardians of children under 10 years old shall be responsible for appropriately masking children. The parent/guardian must supervise at all times to ensure the child can breathe safely and avoid choking or suffocation The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has a detailed guide on helping parents of young children on the use of masks and can be found on the AAP"
Equipment Use:
For Stretch and Tone as well as PBT purposes, we encourage you to bring your own equipment from home, but will have some available at the studio. During these classes, because we are letting your dancers use our equipment we will require face masks to be worn during the entire duration of the class.
This is to minimize the amount of contact the students have with other students.
We will ask dancers to wipe down the equipment with kid-friendly disinfectants and cleaners.
Illnesses/Zoom Classes:
Please remember to keep your dancer at home even if they have mild symptoms like coughing, sneezing, headache, body ache, running a fever, or any other illness.
Parents are asked to not send their children to class if they, or a member of their household, have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
Please let us know if you will miss class so we can send you the appropriate zoom links to participate from home. We will not have reoccurring Zoom classes this semester; we will only offer classes to those that are at home from being sick or that are quarantining.
Student Drop Off/Pick Up:
The Royal Academy of Dance has required us to allow only one family member per student in the studio. This is applicable to students taking the following classes:
Preschool, Pre-primary, Primary, Jazz/Tap Combo.
For students 7yrs+, please be prepared to drop off your student at the front door of the studio; a teacher or faculty member will receive your dancer at the front door to check their temperature as well as guide them to their class room. At the end of their class, they will be lead out class by class and we will have a teacher or faculty member waiting outside to guide them to their car.
